“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:19

Dear Family of Faith,
The season of Spring has begun and with our school staff and students on spring break this week, I am reminded how Lent is sort of a spring cleaning for the soul. It’s a season when God wants us to examine ourselves and meditate on Him, His Word and His plan for our lives. Try to bring more of Him into your lives this week.
As I have been writing the past few weeks about The Pontifical Mission Societies, this week I will be out of the office from Monday, March 27 – Friday, March 31 at The Pontifical Mission Societies National Conference. Unfortunately, daily Mass Tuesday, March 28 – Friday, 31 will be canceled.
Prayers for an enjoyable week,
Fr. Chad M. Droessler

Lenten Almsgiving
Our parish Lenten almsgiving will support “The Pontifical Mission Societies which serve the Church’s universality as a global network of support for the Pope in his missionary commitment by prayer, the soul of mission, and charitable offerings from Christians throughout the world.” -Pope Francis
Throughout the year, the Pontifical Mission Societies support the proclamation of the Gospel, the building of the Church, and the work and witness of mission priests, religious Sisters and Brothers, and lay pastoral leaders. These missionaries provide food, education, and medical care to the most vulnerable communities in the Pope’s missions. Through their work, they reveal the compassionate heart of Jesus. Help support their efforts ~ and be right there with them, offering hope. Donation boxes are available in the back of church. Please take one or more home with you. As you fast during Lent from things that you enjoy, such as coffee, candy, soda, fast food, etc., set aside the money you would normally have spent, and place it in the box. Return it on Palm Sunday weekend.

Monona Hills After Fire FundOur neighbors need our help. On March 18, a fire consumed Monona Hills Apartments. The complex was for people who need subsidized housing due to age and disability. There are no more subsidized housing units that everyone can move into, nor do they have the means to just replace everything they had. At this time financial donations are best. Click here, choose the amount, then on the next page, there will be a choice for Monona Hills After Fire Fund.
