DEAR FAMILY OF FAITH,
Last week another successful IHM school year came to a close. Congratulations to the 8th grade graduates and to Mrs. Callie Meiller, our principal, and all our teachers and staff for a wonderful year of learning and growing closer to Jesus.
One special element made this school year different than any other school year. Every day of the 2022-23 school year our school was covered with loving prayer by a dedicated prayer partner. What a gift that was and we look forward to those prayers again next school year! Thank you, prayer partners, for all of your prayers! Thank you to Claire Clemens for coordinating “Prayer Partners.”
This weekend we will celebrate the Solemnity of our patroness and Blessed Mother of our Lord – the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Bishop Hying will preside at the 10:15am Mass and you’re invited to the parish picnic afterwards. Details are within the bulletin. It will surely be a beautiful day to celebrate our Mother Mary, our faith community and our fathers! Wishing all our wonderful fathers a very blessed Father’s Day!

God bless you and your families,
Fr. Chad M. Droessler

Congratulations to newlyweds,
Seth & Emily Marten!
And God’s blessings to Madeline Mendoza baptized last weekend!

Parish Updates
Devotion to the Sacred Heart
The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in veneration and in gratitude for His merciful heart and His redeeming love for mankind. Find ways your family can reclaim this devotion – so that the secular culture will not distract us from His Sacred Heart.
Dare to Believe Short Film
Episode 1 from the series Dare to Believe with Bishop Hying is out! Watch here and sign up to be notified of new episodes. It is a daring look into the realm of spirituality where the mystical meets the material. What if everything the Catholic Church proclaimed about the Holy Eucharist was actually true? Would it have the power to change your life? Dare to Believe – it would.
Pre-Order Your Shrine Book
Several months ago, Father Chad announced that a book was being written by Nico Fassino about the history of our parish, especially the significance of its identity as the World Shrine of Our Lady of the Green Scapular. This book tells the remarkable story of IHM with the intention of keeping our history alive. The plan is for this book to be published and made available for distribution in 2024. Projected cost per copy will be approximately $15, but we will not know an exact price until we know the number of books that will be ordered.  For that reason, we are asking you to submit a pre-order request at this time. When all pre-orders have been received, we will then contact you with the price. No payment will be required until that time. To place your request, send an e-mail before 8/1 to ihmoffice@ihmparish.org. In the subject line, write “Shrine Book.” In your e-mail, list your name and contact information, along with the number of books you’d like to order.
Parents of Young Adults
When your children reach the age of 22, their parish membership status changes to “Grown Child/Moved” within our parish records. Please encourage them to register on their own at IHM, or at the parish they are attending.
Mass Times while Traveling
Don’t forget to include Holy Mass in your summer travel plans! Visit masstimes.org to find a Catholic Church where you are visiting.
Mass Attire
With the weather getting warmer, please remember to acknowledge, through your attire, how extraordinary and holy Mass is. From the USCCB: We should come to the sacred liturgy appropriately dressed. As Christians we should dress in a modest manner, wearing clothes that reflect our reverence for God and that manifest our respect for the dignity of the liturgy and for one another.
Summer Hours
Parish Office summer hours begin this week. The office is open 9am-noon Mon-Thurs and closed on Fridays. If you tend to buy Raise Right / Scrip gift cards in the office, keep in mind it is sold after Mass every other weekend. They will be sold after all Masses June 10/11.
Knights of Columbus – 24 Hour Adoration
Sign up for 24 hour Eucharistic Adoration on 6/28-6/29 here.
Newly Engaged Couples
We look forward to working with you to prepare you for your sacramental marriage! Please contact Marnie 8-12 months in advance at mharrington@ihmparish.org.
FOCCUS Couples
Are you a sacramentally-married couple that is able to meet with newly engaged couples from our parish? Facilitators of the FOCCUS process are married couples of the parish who have been trained by the diocese. A meeting is held in your home with the engaged couple. If you are interested in becoming a FOCCUS couple, please contact Marnie.
Email Phishing Scams
Please be aware of email phishing scams that come across as a correspondence from Fr. Chad or other IHM employees asking for financial assistance. These emails use our names, but do not come from our email server. All emails from IHM employees end in “ihmparish.org” or “ihm-school.org“. There isn’t a way to prevent these scams, so it is very important you remain vigilant. We will not ask for financial assistance or information over email.
High School Love Begins Here
IHM is sending 25 high school students and chaperones to Love Begins Here this week Jun 18-23 in Watertown. Each day, the students will be doing works of service for the community. Please keep them in your prayers.
