From the Office

Dear Parents,

We are excited to be having a Drive-Through Fish Fry this Friday from 4-7 PM! Hope to see you there!
I have some COVID updates for our IHM parents, and a letter with all of them is linked below. The current mask mandate has been extended to November 21st and of course IHM will follow that mandate and continue to require masks.
Sunday October 4th is the feast of St. Francis! To celebrate, Fr. Chad will be offering a modified Pet Blessing on Friday, Oct. 2nd at pickup. Please read the attached flyer for more information!
The teachers, Mrs. Winter, and I joke about all of the “Milk Updates” that we send, to parents and to each other! This unique situation we are in has us examining all of our processes. With that being said, here is another one:
We are changing (again) how we charge for the Morning Milk Snack for grades 4K through 5. In years past, we charged that fee $30 per semester. Now with virtual students coming and going, and our new FACTs system that allows us to charge milks more easily, from now on, lunch milk (for those not eating IHM’s lunch, where milk is included) AND morning snack milk for all ages (except for ECE, where milk is included) will be charged at $0.35 per carton. This will most likely work out to be a small savings for most 4K-5 families.
Also, we have reduced the types of milk available. We are only offering 1% white or 1% Chocolate Milk. If you signed your child up for skim milk on their enrollment, they will receive 1% milk instead. If you have changed your mind about morning milk snack, at any point in the year, please let you child’s teacher know. Hopefully that should be all of the milk updates for the year! Please let Mrs. Winter know if you have any questions!
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
God Bless,
Callie Meiller, Principal

Office Reminders

  • For our Zoomer families – if we have NO SCHOOL on a Friday (like this week!), please pick up supplies on Thursday instead! Teachers will have things ready for you between 12-5:30 on Thursdays. Thank you!
  • It’s not too late to order pictures! You can order picture packets online at the Capital School Picture store here: https://capitalschoolpictures.square.site/shop/2.
  • Mrs. Walters can use donations of Ziploc (or any brand) sandwich or snack size bags and brown paper lunch bags! Please send them in with your child to give to the office! Thanks for your support!
  • New families who paid enrollment fees will have the $100 credit on their account as soon as there are charges. If you had no charges for Sept, or only had less than $100, you will see the remainder of the credit on coming months. Returning IHM families do not receive a credit for their enrollment fee.
  • Remember, the FACTS withdrawal date for tuition and fees is the 20th or 25th of the month, depending on what you day you chose. All incidental fees (including 4K Wraparound, ECE charges, lunches, etc.) are withdrawn on the 25th of the month.
  • If you want to switch Roomer/Zoomer status, please let your student’s teacher know and give them at least a week to make the required transfers!
  • The Grant & Aid application is available here: Grant & Aid Application.  Please be aware that you need to create a specific Grant & Aid account to apply (your FACTs tuition/SIS account will not work.) The form may indicate that the deadline has passed, but there is no deadline, so please apply if you need to. Funds may be limited, so apply as soon as you can. Let us know if you need help with the application.

Thank You!

Many thanks to Mrs. Heidi Walters, our amazing chef! She is working hard to provide a variety of healthy, delicious lunches, PLUS packing them all separately, and delivering lunches and milks to classrooms! We appreciate Mrs. Walters and all of the extra steps (literally!) she is taking to help keep IHM students safe and well fed!

HSA News

This Thurs. 9/24, we will begin selling SCRIP during the after-school pickup on Thursdays, from 2:30 to 3:15pm at the church drive up entrance. A SCRIP volunteer will walk through the car line to gather order forms and then fill the orders while you wait. Once you have picked up your students, you can then drive over to the church to pick up your order. Please stay in your car and let us come to you so that we can maintain the COVID social distancing. If you have any questions, call Mary @ 608-220-3868.
Please join us for our drive through Fish Fry this Friday 9/25 from 4-7. We are also still looking for a few volunteers for Friday. They are short 2.5 hour shifts! Please email sreinbold@ihmparish.org if you are interested in signing up.
