From the Office
Dear Parents,
We are excited to be having a Drive-Through Fish Fry this Friday from 4-7 PM! Hope to see you there!
I have some COVID updates for our IHM parents, and a letter with all of them is linked below. The current mask mandate has been extended to November 21st and of course IHM will follow that mandate and continue to require masks.
Sunday October 4th is the feast of St. Francis! To celebrate, Fr. Chad will be offering a modified Pet Blessing on Friday, Oct. 2nd at pickup. Please read the attached flyer for more information!
The teachers, Mrs. Winter, and I joke about all of the “Milk Updates” that we send, to parents and to each other! This unique situation we are in has us examining all of our processes. With that being said, here is another one:
We are changing (again) how we charge for the Morning Milk Snack for grades 4K through 5. In years past, we charged that fee $30 per semester. Now with virtual students coming and going, and our new FACTs system that allows us to charge milks more easily, from now on, lunch milk (for those not eating IHM’s lunch, where milk is included) AND morning snack milk for all ages (except for ECE, where milk is included) will be charged at $0.35 per carton. This will most likely work out to be a small savings for most 4K-5 families.
Also, we have reduced the types of milk available. We are only offering 1% white or 1% Chocolate Milk. If you signed your child up for skim milk on their enrollment, they will receive 1% milk instead. If you have changed your mind about morning milk snack, at any point in the year, please let you child’s teacher know. Hopefully that should be all of the milk updates for the year! Please let Mrs. Winter know if you have any questions!
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
God Bless,
Callie Meiller, Principal
