From the Principal
Dear Parents,
This is the 2nd week of the Eagle Express Newsletter! The Eagle Express (this email and the green home folder) is the main way that IHM School communicates with you. To be well-informed, read everything pertinent to your family as soon as you can, and fill out what needs to be returned, including the green Eagle Express folder.
IHM is excited to have Bishop Hying, the new bishop of the Diocese of Madison, visiting on Thursday, Sept. 26th! Bishop Hying will be offering the school Mass with Fr. Chad at 8:30, and will visit the school afterwards. All are welcome, as always, to join us for Holy Mass.
Koats for Kids! It’s the time of year to clean out your coat closet and donate what doesn’t fit! The 5th grade is collecting for Koats for Kids now through Oct. 4th. Bring in gently used coat, hats, and mittens of all sizes to the bins that are in front of the office or church, and thanks for your donations!
A reminder for who to contact when:
- If you have a financial question, or a question about FACTS contact Mr. Bernie Heit at bheit@ihmparish.org, or his extension 7027.
- If you have a classroom question or need to let a teacher know something, email the teacher directly, or call the main office line to leave them a message. The teacher contact list is linked below – please keep it for future reference.
- If you have a general question, need to let school know about something logistical(appointment, drop off, etc.), or don’t know who to contact, email Mrs. Winter at secretary@ihm-school.org or call the main office line (leave a message on the general office voicemail if you don’t get through – Mrs. Winter gets those messages.) If she doesn’t handle it, she will know who does and will connect you with the right person.
- If your child has an appointment and has to leave early, come late, or is sick or going on vacation and won’t be coming at all, please email Mrs. Winter at the above address (she will share it with the teacher, or feel free to include the teacher on the email as well) or call the school Absence Voicemail, before 8:30 AM on that day, or before.
Of course, I am always available to parents, but I do appreciate if you can contact these others first – they are all experts in their fields, and are better suited than I am to answer questions in their areas of expertise!
You may have noticed that all of our No-Uniform Days are scheduled on the calendar, about every 2 weeks, on Fridays. Even though there are no uniforms required, clothes should still be appropriate for school. No spaghetti straps, no bellies, no short-shorts, and no inappropriate t-shirts. These days are perfect for IHM spirit wear, or cheering on your favorite sports teams! Thanks for your help with these fun no-uniform days!
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
