From the Office
Dear Parents,
This is Mrs. Meiller’s End of the Year Extravaganza week! I hope that your students are enjoying the optional activities I have planned for this week, and are able to catch up on assignments they may have missed over the past few weeks!
I am getting communication from some parents that they are not completing enrollment until they know what school will look like in the fall. I am asking you to please enroll as if we will be in school in person in the fall. We are going ahead with planning that we will be in person in the fall, with necessary measures to keep everyone safe, as well as planning for other possible contingencies. Enrollment fees have already been collected, you can always change your mind, but we do need to plan if schools are in session, to save your child’s spot in their class, and to have you on the contact list over the summer! The link is in the “Office Reminders” below. Please let us know if you need help with the process!
Please take 5-minutes to fill out this very short survey about what is important to you as we begin to make plans for the Fall: Parent Survey. As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
Pick-up/drop-off will be June 8th-10th.
Drop Off
- Borrowed technology – tablets, laptops, charger cords, etc.
- Borrowed textbooks/other classroom books
- IHM Library Books – students that are not returning to IHM in the fall with books out will be charged for the lost book cost if books are not returned on by June 10th
- Band Instruments
Pick Up
- School supplies
- Art work
- Gym shoes
- Items left in lockers – teachers will bag locker items
Only half of our families have signed up for a time – if you have not signed up, please do so now: Pick-Up/Drop-Off Sign Up. You only need one slot per family – you can pick up multiple students items at the same time. If you need help signing up, please let us know!
IHM will be following the CDC recommendations for making sure our Summer ECE and our Summer Camp are as safe as possible for all of the students, staff, and families. This will include monitoring students for illness, distancing in classroom as much as possible, increased hand washing and cleaning of classrooms and materials on a daily basis, limiting access to the classroom, being outside often, and many other details. Parents will be asked to sign an agreement of the policies. Of course, we are also considering all of these and more for the school year in the fall, if necessary (let us know your thoughts in the survey above!) There will be NO drop-ins for Summer Camp at this time. If you feel you may need the program in any capacity, we highly encourage you to sign up now so you are on the list. You can change the dates you picked anytime with the Camp teachers.
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
Peace,
Callie Meiller, Principal
