Eagle Express 5/12/21

From the Office

Dear Parents,

Monona Grove School District changed their last day of the year, and because we follow their schedule, we will be doing the same thing. The last day for ECE, 4K, and K-8 will now be Wednesday, June 9th, with a typical Wednesday 1:00 PM dismissal.

  • MG 4K: will be virtual, as usual, on that Wednesday. Stay tuned to information from Ms.  Conner about that final day.
  • 4K Wraparound last day is Tuesday, June 8th.
  • ECE will end at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 9th.
  • No programs will run after 1:00 PM on Wed., June 9th. All students must be picked up by then.
  • ECE Summer Session will start on Monday, June 14th. There will be no school for ECE 6/10-6/11.
  • Let us know if you have any questions!

It is teacher contract time, which means it’s also time to let you know about the staffing changes that we know about for next fall. We are sorry to be saying goodbye to Ms. Brittany Conner, our Monona Grove 4K teacher for the fall. We appreciate all that Ms. Conner has done for IHM and we will miss her! I am happy to say that Mrs. Lynette Wellnitz has agreed to take over the MG4K position for next year!  I will be working on hiring a new ECE 4’s teacher, and have already started the interview process. I will keep you updated.

The Kindergarten through 8th grade Spring Concert is this Thursday, May 13th at 6:00 PM! The students should report to their classrooms at 5:45 PM. Performance attire is beach themed – hawaiian shirts, leis, tropical colors, etc (no bathing suits please!) or their school uniform, no need to go out to buy something special. Families can set out a blanket starting after the carline is done on Thursday (approximately 3:15), but do not occupy the field until after 5:30. Remember to stay socially distanced from other groups, masks will be required for all spectators; no animals, no food, no chairs over 6-inches from the ground. Please note that the playground will be closed before and during the performance. We are looking forward to gathering and sharing our music with you!

Mrs. Snider is looking for one parent per grade to assist with Field Day on Wednesday, June 9th from 8:45 through lunchtime (last week we had the wrong month!) Please email her at jsnider@ihm-school.org if you can assist for all or part of that time!
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
God Bless,
Callie Meiller, Principal

-After November 15, you are responsible for 1st and 2nd trimester tuition and all fees.
-After February 15, you are responsible for the full year’s tuition and all fees.Current students are automatically re-enrolled. You need to fill out a withdrawal form to withdraw your student. If you have not filled out a withdrawal form, your student is considered enrolled. Please let us know if you have any questions about this new policy.
  • The Grand & Aid application is here: https://online.factsmgt.com/aid There is a $35 fee to apply for tuition assistance. We encourage you to apply if you feel you need assistance; 20% of our current students are receiving some form of financial aid, and the majority of families that apply receive some aid.
