From the Office
Dear Parents,
I have been getting questions from parents, and I want to let you know that for now we are planning on school running as usual in the Fall, with contingency plans in the works if that has to change because of state guidelines. Please be assured that I will let you know as soon as I do if anything has to change.
More 8th grade plans have been finalized! The clap out will be on May 26th – more information will be coming soon! We will have a virtual graduation blessing, and awards ceremony on Zoom on Thursday, June 4th at 7:00 PM for 8th grade grads and their families. The Zoom link will be shared with you soon. Father Chad & Mrs. Meiller will deliver diplomas to the homes of 8th graders the afternoon of June 4th. We will practice safe social distancing, and hope to get a distanced-photo on those days! Students are invited to dress up for their photo. We will set up a schedule for delivery when we get closer to June 4th!
Mrs. Derks is working on the
yearbook! It won’t be ready by the end of the school year, but will be done sometime in the summer. As soon as it is ready, we will let you know how we plan on distributing them. In the meantime, she needs your help! She is looking for pictures – specifically classroom pictures, field trips, learning-from-home, and pictures of sports teams and other groups! Please email them to Mrs. Derks at
sderks@ihm-school.org. Thanks for your help!
Our Summer ECE and Summer Camp will be open beginning June 13th. Because child care is an essential service we can be open. The pool, library, and field trip plans may be delayed or cancelled, especially at the beginning of the summer, but the teachers will still plan fun activities and neighborhood walks! If you signed up, you should have gotten a confirmation email from Mrs. Winter – please make sure to reply if your plans have changed – we need to know that we will have enough participation to run the program! If you are interested, there is still time to sign up – see the links below in the “Office Reminders” section!
Our
ECE Program will be open on May 18-20. If you did not fill out the form for care for those days, but forsee the need, please use this link to sign up: ECE May Days. There will be no drop-ins those days, please fill out the form if you intend to use the program. If you would like to sign up for possible care from May 26-June 11, do so here:

As a reminder:
8th Grade: The last day of distance learning for our 8th grade will be Tuesday, May 26th.
All other Grades: The last day of distance learning for all other students will be Friday, May 29th.
Jun 1-5 will be “Mrs. Meiller’s End of Year Extravaganza,”a week of daily themes and fun, optional activities to wrap up this amazing but unusual school year, as well as a time for students to make up missing work.
June 8-11 We will schedule pick up times for families to collect materials from school (based on the Badger Bounce Back guidelines) and turn-in times for technology, library and other school materials. Adapted report cards will be ready on June 11.
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
Peace,
Callie Meiller, Principal
