The Athletic Committee is holding it’s first Cornhole Tournament this Saturday, April 22 at noon in the IHM gym!

Backyard Bash Parish Festival

Sign up online to help with the Backyard Bash parish festival! Log on to http://bit.do/ihmfestival between now and May 7 and choose your shifts! There’s no need to register, just enter your e-mail so we have a way to get in touch with you in the case of changes! Beginning May 8, printed sign up sheets will be located in the church.

Summer Totus Tuus

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish will once again be hosting Totus Tuus this summer with St. Patrick’s Parish in Cottage Grove! This is a wonderful Catholic youth program offered through the Diocese of Madison. IHM will be hosting the elementary program (for kids entering grades 1 – 6 in the fall of 2017) on Monday, July 24 through Friday, July 28th. This is a full day program that runs from approximately 9 AM – 3 PM. Saint Patrick’s will host the middle and high school program (for kids entering grades 7 – 12 in the fall of 2017), from Sunday, July 23 through Thursday, July 27. The evening program runs from approximately 6:30 PM – 9 PM. Please watch the bulletin and Eagle Express for registration information, which will be available in early May.

Monona Library Teen Volunteers

Monona Public Library is looking for Teen Volunteers!
Youth entering grade 6 to grade 12 are invited to apply for a position as a Teen Volunteer for the Monona Public Library summer program. Teen Volunteers help readers sign up for the Reading Program and give out reading prizes.
Volunteers also:

  • Help with activities, performances, story times, & games
  • Prepare crafts, games, contests, decorations.
  • Interact with patrons, demonstrate skills such as cooperation and responsibility
  • Receive an invitation to attend special Teen Volunteer events with a friend
  • Receive prizes and a letter of reference for college scholarship applications or job resumes
Attendance at one training is required. Training dates are listed on the Teen Volunteer Application.

To apply: beginning May 1st, pick up a Teen Volunteer application at the Monona Public Library or download the application at www.mononalibrary.org. The deadline for returning applications is the last Tuesday of May, May 30th, at library closing time. Teens who are accepted into the program will be called prior to the first training date.
