From the Office

Dear Parents,

Welcome back! We hope you had a relaxing Spring Break with lots of time together with your family!

In his message about Lent this year, Pope Francis said “Lent is a favourable time for personal and community renewal, as it leads us to the paschal mystery of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For our Lenten journey in 2022, we will do well to reflect on Saint Paul’s exhortation to the Galatians: “Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up. So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all” (Gal 6:9-10).” May this Lent be an opportunity for us all to do good in our communities, family, and world!

All Monona Grove School District residents are eligible for Summer School Enrichment classes through Monona Grove School District. Here is the information we were given to pass along:

  • This is a link to our Summer School webpage which will have the most up to date information https://www.mononagrove.org/district/summer-school.cfm
Our course guide will get posted here the week of April 4th and registration opens on Monday, April 11th at 3:00pm.

    Resident Non-MGSD Students
If you live in the district and participated in summer school last year: Registration will be done online through your Infinite Campus Portal Account. To prepare for registration, families will want to be sure their portal account is activated and that they are able to login. For Infinite Campus portal help please click on this link for guidance. Please review your contact information to make sure it is correct. Also, if you have any health concerns please make sure to notify the summer school office.

  • If your child is currently a district resident but does not attend a Monona Grove public school and has never participated in summer school: Please enroll in the district as a New Student. Please visit our website for more information: http://www.mononagrove.org/welcome/how-to-enroll.cfm. Once the enrollment process is complete families will be given information on how to set up an Infinite Campus Portal Account where they can register for classes.

The IHM Dress Code states that uniform shorts and capri pants can be worn starting on April 1st, if the weather is appropriate – which means those items are OK starting this week. But watch the daily forecast, because we all know that Wisconsin weather is fickle, and students will need to go outside for recesses, even if they feel they aren’t dressed for the weather.

Our SAC (School Advisory Committee) is offering an After-School Extra: On Track – for Girls. Girls in grades 3-5 are invited to participate in this running-based fitness program emphasizing virtue education and service. See the attached flyer and registration form. Registration due April 13.

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.

God Bless,
Callie Meiller, Principal
