From the Office

Dear Parents,

A big “Welcome Back” to Mrs. Alicia Veencamp, our Middle School Social Studies and Math teacher, on her return from maternity leave this week! We are happy to have her back for the last few weeks of the year! Many thanks to Mr. Tim Brumm and Ms. Abby Noel for their teaching skills covering Mrs. Veencamp’s leave.

IHM Parish will be having a modified Parish Festival this year! See the attached flyers for lots more information and registration info!

The deadline to sign up for the Summer Camp program for kids entering 1-6th grade IHM Summer Camp is THIS FRIDAY, April 30th. There is a lot more info on the sign up form, here: https://immaculateheartmonona.wufoo.com/forms/qgbff8u0yf06vu/

Office Reminders

  • If your students are entering ECE, 4K, or Kindergarten in the fall, and if you would like them to attend the ECE Summer Session, sign up here: https://immaculateheartmonona.wufoo.com/forms/q4jk2yl1uofezn/ ! ECE School Year session ends on Thursday, June 10th and ECE Summer Session will go from June 14-August 23, with no classes July 5-9th. If you have any questions, let us know!
  • IHM School is committed to maintaining a low student/teacher ratio. Therefore the following policy is in effect for withdrawal of students K-8:
-If you withdraw a student after July 15, you are responsible for 1st trimester tuition.
-After November 15, you are responsible for 1st and 2nd trimester tuition and all fees.
-After February 15, you are responsible for the full year’s tuition and all fees.

Please let us know if you have any questions about this new policy.

  • Tuition assistance is available for students in grades K-8 whose families qualify. Apply for assistance  here: https://online.factsmgt.com/aid There is a $35 fee to apply for tuition assistance. We encourage you to apply if you feel you need assistance; 20% of our current students are receiving some form of financial aid, and the majority of families that apply receive some aid.
  •  Use this site to order IHM Spirit Wear: https://ihm.socceretcdirect.com/index.php?route=common/home Click on “School Delivery” under Delivery Method, orders will be delivered to IHM, and we will send them home with your child as soon as we receive them!  If you add a name to the bottom of the order, where it says “Name if applicable,” it will add your that name to the piece of clothing.
  • Mrs. Walters has a continuing need for small paper lunch bags and rags/towels!  Donations are appreciated, send them in with your student! Thank you!

Thank You!

Thank you so much to all of the parents and students that purchased books at our Book Fair! You purchased $3,575.36 worth of books (that blows away our previous Spring fair totals by over $1,000!), which means we have $1,287.68 to spend for the IHM Library and classrooms, all thanks to you!!

Did You Know?

May 1st is the feast of St. Joseph the worker! While not the primary celebration of St. Joseph (that is March 19th), this feast allows us to celebrate St. Joseph in a way that we can all relate to him —as workers! Joseph is the patron saint of many things, including the universal Church, fathers, the dying, social justice, unborn children, travelers, immigrants, a happy death, families, pregnant women, travelers, house sellers and buyers, craftsmen, engineers, and working people in general!
