Eagle Express 3/4/2020

 From the Office

Dear Parents,

Lent was here last week, with the “Seal the Alleluias” prayer service, and Ash Wednesday mass with the students. Each week at 8:30 on the Fridays we have school, the 1-8th grades will attend Stations of the Cross (ECE & K will attend every other week). You are always welcome to join us each week during this time of fasting, giving, and prayer.

See a linked letter below from IHM school regarding Coronavirus in Dane County. It is always important, but now more so than ever, to keep children at home with fever/vomiting until they are symptom-free for 24 hours. See the letter for more information.

If your students are entering ECE, 4K, or Kindergarten in the fall, and If you are planning on them attending through the summer, sign up here ECE Summer Sign Up before March 31st! ECE School Year session ends on Thursday, June 11th and ECE Summer Session will go from June 15-August 21st, with no classes July 6-10th. If you have any questions, let us know!

Enrollment for the IHM Summer Camp Program for students entering 1st through 6th grade in the fall is open – click this link to enroll: IHM Summer Camp. If you need more information, there is a lot on the enrollment link, and a flyer linked to this email. The Summer Program will be held for 8 weeks. There will be weekly themes, they will swim, go on field trips, do arts & crafts, more! Mr. Schnell will be leading the camp again this year, with Kelly Woock (Mrs. KW’s daughter). This program does fill, and enrollment is first-come, first serve so please enroll soon (deadline is April 30th).

Girls on the Run: https://www.girlsontherunscwi.org/Program-Registration

IHM will be having a Girls on the Run team again! Thank you to Mrs. Hanson and Ashley McGree for helping out to coach Girls on the Run. GOTR is designed to help young girls recognize their inner strength and be proud of who they are. The practices will be after school at IHM Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:00. It will start on March 23 and run for 10 weeks with a culminating 5K.

Amazingly, Spring conferences are coming up next week. If you did not sign up, a time was assigned to you – you will find it in your child’s green Eagle Express folder!

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.

Peace,

Callie Meiller, Principal
