From the Office

Dear Parents,

Happy St. Patrick’s Day this week, to anyone who has Irish ancestry for the whole year, or just for the week! I wanted to share St. Patrick’s prayer for the faithful with you all:

May the Strength of God guide us. May the Power of God preserve us.
May the Wisdom of God instruct us. May the Hand of God protect us.
May the Way of God direct us. May the Shield of God defend us.
May the Angels of God guard us, against the snares of the evil one.

May Christ be with us!May Christ be before us!
May Christ be in us,Christ be over all!

May Thy Grace, Lord,Always be ours,
This day, O Lord, and forevermore. Amen.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 21st at Culver’s (Madison) on Cottage Grove Rd. from 5-8 p.m. A portion of sales from that night will be donated to support the Washington D.C. Trip. Come grab dinner, a custard treat, or a bedtime snack and say “hello” to some of our middle schoolers who will be helping at the restaurant that night!

Sr. Sue and the Student Council are asking for donations of small, individually wrapped candies to fill Easter Eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt that the Student Council will be running for students in April. Please have your students drop the candy off with Sr. Sue!

IHM school is pleased to offer a 4 week swing dance lesson series for current 5th-8th Grade Students! Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend and learn with their enrolled student(s). Get comfortable dancing with a partner, learn basic/intermediate moves and have FUN!  Rotating partners in class is expected, as that will help you learn skills in the easiest and fastest manner. Classes will begin after Spring Break on Wednesdays from 3:15 to 4:30 on April 5, 12, 19, 26 in Marian Hall. Information is in the document linked below. Registration: https://forms.gle/nK2NVanZQGLNS1dy7.

Wednesday Faith Formation Night is here! March 15 – Lent/Confession/Stations of the Cross in Marian Hall at 6pm. Our speaker will be Josh Dart and he will be giving a Lenten reflection. We will then head to church for an opportunity to do confession and will end all together with the Stations of the Cross.

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world. On behalf of Fr. Chad, the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!

Did You Know?

The shamrock, a three-leaf clover, has been associated with Ireland for centuries. It was called the “seamroy” by the Celts and was considered a sacred plant that symbolized the arrival of spring. According to legend, St. Patrick used the plant as a visual guide when explaining the Holy Trinity!
