From the Office

Dear Parents,

Report Cards for Grades ECE and K-8 are available today! ECE will have paper reports in your child’s backpack. Grades K-8, log into your FACTs Family Portal to view the report cards (check after 5:00 pm tonight). Mrs. Meiller will also email a copy to your email address.

If you did not sign up for a conference for your 3K, 4K, or 3-8th grade student, we signed you up for a time. Please look in your email in the next few days for that scheduled time. If you cannot make it, please email Mrs. Winter at secretary@ihm-school.org or your child’s teacher, and they will attempt to find a better alternative for you.

For five Thursdays during Lent IHM students can pay to dress down for $2 each day. The money raised will go to the Pontifical Mission Society.

Dates: March 2, March 9, March 16, March 23, and April 6

Cost: $2 each day the kids choose to dress down

Student should bring money to their homeroom teachers, in an envelope marked with their name and the dates being paid for. If you would like to sponsor another child or give an additional donation please let your child’s teacher know! Thanks for participating in this great cause!

Tuition rates have been set for the 23-24 School year, and the sheet with those amounts is linked below. You may notice that the increase in tuition is higher this year than it has been historically. I wanted to tell you that, following the advice of the Into the Deep initiative to pay our teachers and staff more fair wages, the entire tuition raise is going into a payraise for our teachers and staff. You will notice that their are no more separate fees listed – this enables your family to deduct the entire tuition amount from your taxes. Let us know if you have any questions, as always.

Tuition assistance is available for students in grades K-8 whose families qualify. Apply for assistance for the 23-24 school year here: https://online.factsmgt.com/aid . We encourage you to apply if you feel you need assistance; 20% of our current students are receiving some form of financial aid, and most of families that apply some level of financial aid. Please fill out the form by May 15th, 2023.

IHM is hosting Vacation Bible School (VBS) this summer from 7/17-7/21 from 9am-noon for children going into grades 4K-6th grade! The theme this year will be “Cathletics: Training to be Champions for Christ”. Last year, it was very popular with 70 children attending. Please consider volunteering! Contact Marnie with questions at mharrington@ihmparish.org. For more info and to sign up, click https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfpyQ_kn7X-dsIGfJ93ByurMbXBPQcwyVUAe1K2f6Idk66g0A/viewform!

Wednesday Formation Night is a Potluck Dinner in Marian Hall tonight at 6pm.  We will provide Scallop Potatoes and Ham. We are in need of sides, salads and desserts! Please sign up at https://ihmparishmonona.flocknote.com/signup/107376 to bring an item to share. Dinner will be served by volunteers from our St. Anne’s group.

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world. On behalf of Fr. Chad, the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!

Peace & Blessings,
Callie Meiller, Principal

Did You Know?

Lent is the 40 weekdays from Ash Wednesday to Easter observed by the Roman Catholic, Eastern, and some Protestant churches as a period of penitence and fasting. Sundays aren’t included in the 40-day count.

Since Sunday’s aren’t included, Lent technically lasts 46 days!
