Eagle Express Newsletter
December 21, 2022
From the Office
Dear Parents,Can you believe this is already the last Eagle Express of 2022? As I reflect on the year, I am really moved by the community here at IHM School. God bless you and your family, and may the peace of Christ be with you through Christmas and the New Year!
We had our last beautiful Advent prayer service this morning. As Pope Francis reminds us, “Advent is a continuous call to hope.” May you and your family feel the hope of the Advent season!
Please join us tonight, 12/21, for our Wednesday Formation Night! This week is Prayer/Adoration Night in Marian Hall at 6pm. The speakers are Craig & Mark Uselman.
On Dec. 28 there is NO GATHERING, enjoy the night with your families!I wanted to let you know that I will continue to search for a new 3rd grade teacher until we find someone terrific to replace Mrs. Hutson after the 6th of January. Two of our awesome substitutes, Mrs. Susie Kurek and Mrs. Shelley Bouffiou, are able to cover teaching 3rd grade through the end of January. Please pray that the right teacher finds IHM, and we find them!
And, finally, a Christmas prayer from Robert Lewis Stevenson for all of our precious families:
O God, our loving Father, help us rightly to remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the Angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men.
Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Deliver us from evil by the blessings that Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts. May Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving, and forgiven, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.Merry Christmas!
