From the Office
Dear Parents,
Can you believe this is already the last Eagle Express of 2021? As I reflect on the year, I am really moved by the community here at IHM School. Even though it has been another challenging year, there are still blessings every day! God bless you and your family, and may the peace of Christ be with you through Christmas and the New Year!
Advent is here, and the students in grades ECE, and K-8 will be participating in weekly Advent prayer services on Wednesday mornings. As Pope Francis reminds us, “Advent is a continuous call to hope.” May you and your family feel the hope of the Advent season!
The 4th grade is holding their stocking raffle this week, December 13-17! All IHM students can buy raffle tickets from Mrs. Lipski and the 4th graders for stockings that are displayed outside of the office Tickets cost $1 apiece or 6 for $5. Winners will be picked before noon on Monday, December 20th. Proceeds will be going to St. Vincent de Paul.
And, finally, a Christmas prayer from Robert Lewis Stevenson for all of our precious families: O God, our loving Father, help us rightly to remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the Angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men. Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Deliver us from evil by the blessings that Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts. May Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving, and forgiven, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
Merry Christmas! Callie Meiller, Princip
