Eagle Express 12/11/19

From the Principal

Dear Parents,

As Catholics, we recognize the season of Advent preparing ourselves for Christ’s birth. Our 3rd and final Advent prayer service will be Wednesday, December 18th at 8:20 AM in Marian Hall, led by the 1st and 4th grades. All parents are welcome!

Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Cayla Hess is expecting her second child in the middle of April! Congratulations to  Mrs. Hess, her husband Eion, and their daughter Maddie!   I will let you know who I find to take good care of the Kindergartener’s learning during her maternity leave.

In this week’s Eagle Express in hard copy you will find an anonymous income survey. Please fill out the survey and return it to the school office by next Monday, Dec. 16th. Your responses help determine the amount of Title 1 funding available to IHM School. That means we get money to provide services! It is very important, and we can use your help!

The School Christmas Concerts are coming up! ECE & 4K will have a concert themselves on Dec. 16th at 11:15, grades K-2 will be Dec. 19th at 5:30, and grades 3-8 will be that same day at 6:30.  All of the concerts are in the school Gym. Students can dress in Christmas outfits, preferably in Green or Red, or their uniform polo shirts. Please do not feel the need to go out and buy anything special for your child to wear during the concert. The Christmas concerts are always such a nice way to celebrate the season with our children and the community!

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
Callie Meiller, Principal

Office Reminders

  • All library books are due to the IHM library before Christmas vacation.
  • Please make sure that your student has appropriate outdoor clothing EVERY day. Even if it is too cold to be out in the morning, most days it warms up enough for us to have outside recess by the afternoon! Thank you!

Thank You

Thank you to everyone that helped with the UW chair install/uninstall fundraiser!  They earned  $1276.95 for the Athletic Committee! We couldn’t have done it without your time and energy! Thanks!
