Penny War

The Penny War has been extended one more day! Please send in your pennies (and other coins and bills!) to benefit the VFW by tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 10th!

A note from the teachers:

Dear Parents,

In our classrooms, it is important that all students are respectful during learning time. This allows everyone to grow and learn! Sometimes, students have trouble remembering to raise their hands before talking and BLURT OUT during a lesson. While the occasional BLURT doesn’t disrupt the flow of our lessons, repeated BLURTING is very distracting and makes it more difficult for everyone to learn.

As we have entered Quarter 2, the decision has been made to discourage repeated BLURTING in every classroom. BLURTING will be considered the same in each classroom, when a child interrupts or speaks without raising their hand. Each teacher has chosen their own developmentally appropriate way of stopping BLURTING in their classroom. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact your child’s homeroom teacher.
