Eagle Express 11/28/18

From the Principal

Dear Parents,

What a busy couple of weeks! We hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday with many blessings and lots of time with family and friends. We had so much fun with Grandparents/Special Persons Day. We also hope you received some good information from your child’s teacher during Parent/Teacher Conferences.

You may have heard that Bishop Morlino passed away this week. Please join us in praying for the repose of his soul, for his friends and family, and for all of the faithful in the Diocese of Madison. Fr. Chad will be saying our Thursday 8:30 AM All-School Mass for Bishop Morlino, and, as always, please feel free to join us for this special intention.

I am excited to announce that Mrs. Lola Barrientos, previous Middle School Social Science teacher at IHM School, will be the long term substitute in that same position until I can hire someone to replace Mr. Beechtree, whose last day is this Friday, Nov. 30th. I will let you know when I find the right person!

Report cards will be available for all students next week Wednesday. Monona Grove 4K report cards are available on the Infinite Campus site. Everyone else (ECE, K-8) will be able to access report cards on the Teacher Ease system. You will receive a letter with instructions next week.

As Catholics, we recognize the season of Advent preparing ourselves for Christ’s birth. Our 1st Advent prayer service will be Wednesday, December 5th at 8:30 AM in Marian Hall, lead by the 3rd & 5th grade classrooms. The prayer services will be held weekly throughout Advent. Join us for any of these celebrations during Advent.

The School Christmas Concerts are coming up! ECE & 4K will have a concert themselves on Dec. 17th at 11:15, K-3 will be Dec. 20th at 5:30, and 4-8 will be that same day at 6:30. More information is in the Eagle Express. The Christmas concerts are always such a nice way to celebrate the season with our children and the community!

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world. On behalf of Fr. Chad, the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!
