From the Principal
Dear Parents,
During this month of Thanksgiving, let’s remember to be grateful every day for the blessings that God has given to us. We here at IHM are grateful that you have chosen IHM to be your partners in educating your children and sharing our faith.
We are thankful for two new students! Please say hi to Kimberly (K) and Karol (4th) Calles, and their parents Carolina and Henry! We are glad to have them join the IHM family!
Parent-Teacher Conferences are Monday, Nov. 25th (4K-PM) & Tuesday, Nov. 26th (everyone else). If you have not yet signed up, we assigned you a time, and you should have received a letter last week with your assigned time. If it does not work for you, please contact your child’s teacher. The teachers are looking forward to meeting with you!
Grandparents/Special Person Day is Tuesday, November 26th. Please drop off your child at school and we will meet you at church for Mass at 8:30 A.M. We will have Mass with a song afterwards in the church (4K will have a special presentation in their classroom at 10:00, and ECE in the gym at 10:20), an open house, refreshments, and the Scholastic book fair. The event will be over by 11:00 A.M. for early dismissal (grades K-8) and conferences.
Report cards will be available for all students on Wednesday, December 4th. 4K report cards are available on the Infinite Campus site. ECE has paper report cards that will come home with ECE students that week. K-8 will be able to access report cards on the Teacher Ease system. Look for a “Welcome Email” from Teacher Ease on Dec. 4th, and log in to your account to view report cards.
As Catholics, we recognize the season of Advent preparing ourselves for Christ’s birth. Our 1st Advent prayer service will be Wednesday, December 4th at 8:30 AM in Marian Hall. The prayer services will be held weekly throughout Advent. Join us for any of these celebrations during Advent.
The School Christmas Concerts are coming up! ECE & 4K will have a concert themselves on Dec. 16th at 11:15, K-3 will be Dec. 19th at 5:30, and 4-8 will be that same day at 6:30. More information is in the Eagle Express. The Christmas concerts are always such a nice way to celebrate the season with our children and the community!
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
