From the Office
Dear Parents,
During this month of Thanksgiving, let’s remember to be grateful every day for the blessings that God has given to us. We here at IHM are grateful that you have chosen IHM to be your partners in educating your children and sharing our faith.
Prairie Fire Theater rehearsals are in full swing! Even if your child isn’t involved, come to see a performance of Jack and the Beanstalk on Friday or Saturday. You will be amazed by what the students can do in only a week of preparation!
I have left in the sign up links for parent-teacher conferences below in case you still need them. Each student should have ONE conference time for all parents. If that won’t work for your family, or you can’t make this day, please contact the teacher to arrange for a different time. Sign up for a conference time by Friday, November 11th. Families not signed up by that day will be assigned a time, which might not be convenient for your family.

Do you know a child (ages 6 and up) that could benefit from a MagnifiKid! subscription? It is a spiritual guide that offers all the readings and prayers of the Sunday mass with explanations of the difficult words and the meaning of the rituals. Issues are sent to the parish and distributed through the school or picked up in the usher’s room monthly. With the bulk pricing, we anticipate a 12 month subscription to be about $19/child, but it may be less if we have a large amount of subscribers! Please email Rachel at rmatenaer@ihmparish.org by 11/9 with the quantity you’d like. Once a quantity is determined, we will let you know how much it will be. No need to turn in payment until that time.
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world. On behalf of Fr. Chad, the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!Peace & Blessings,
Callie Meiller, Principal

A special thanks to Emily and Trevor Voice for coordinating and to Elizabeth Hartung and Larissa Munz who managed the food/drink/popcorn area! Thanks to Sehade Sejdini for the photo props and setup.

Did You Know? You don’t have to send cash with your kid’s to the Scholastic Book Fair if you set up an eWallet! Starting this week, you can go to the IHM Fair website here www.scholastic.com/fair and add funds to an electronic wallet. Only the funds that you approve will be able to be used, you can set amounts for each sibling, and you don’t have to send cash to school with your kids!
This will be our only Scholastic Book Fair of the year. The Spring Fair will be an online-only Good News Catholic Book Fair.
