 From the Office

Dear Parents,

During this month of Thanksgiving, let’s remember to be grateful every day for the blessings that God has given to us. We here at IHM are grateful that you have chosen IHM to be your partners in educating your children and sharing our faith.

Thanks to all who were involved in Prairie Fire Theater last week! It was a great show, and a wonderful experience for the students! Check out our Facebook page (link at the bottom) for tons of awesome pictures!

The Dane County mask mandate ends on Nov. 27th, with no plans to be reinstated. I am talking to other Catholic Schools and Fr. Chad about our options for masking after that date, and will let you know as soon as a decision is made. We emailed earlier this week about the MG Vacination clinic, as well as a letter about vaccinations from Bishop Hying, so look for those emails for an oppotunity to get your children vaccinated.

Grandparents Day is coming up on Tuesday, November 23rd. Grandparents are invited to come with us to mass at 8:30 AM on that day.  Students can sit with grandparents, if they like. Grandparents should meet students at church. Grandparents are invited to come back and shop the book fair if they are interested.

I have left in the sign up links for parent-teacher conferences below for one more newsletter, in case you still need them.  Each student should have ONE conference time for all parents. If that won’t work for your family, or you can’t make this day, please contact the teacher to arrange for a different time. Sign up for a conference time by this Friday, November 12th. Families not signed up by that day will be assigned a time, which might not be convenient for your family.

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world. On behalf of Fr. Chad, the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!

God Bless,
Callie Meiller, Principa

Cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever (or chills) above 100.4 within 24 hours, new loss of taste or smell, *Vomiting and/or Diarrhea* – is not a very common sign of COVID -19 but exclusion is advised until able to tolerate your normal diet 24 hrs after vomiting/diarrhea stopped.

  •  Use this site to order IHM Spirit Wear: https://ihm.socceretcdirect.com/index.php?route=common/home. Click on “School Delivery” under Delivery Method, orders will be delivered to IHM, and we will send them home with your child as soon as we receive them!  If you add a name to the bottom of the order, where it says “Name if applicable,” it will add your that name to the piece of clothing. Please note that personalized items cannot be returned, so make sure your sizing is correct.

Thank You!

Many thanks to our neighbors, the Sisters of Mary Morning Star, for leading our students in Adoration at their convent most Wednesday mornings through the school year (the K-8 attends on a rotating schedule.) We appreciate their time in leading the students in adoration prayer!

Did You Know?

Christmas is just around the corner and so is IHM’s St. Vincent de Paul Angel Tree event. This year, due COVID restrictions, gift cards and cash donations are requested instead of toys and gifts. Gift cards must specifically be for Target, Walmart or Burlington Coat Factory, and the dollar amount of each card should be written with a permanent marker on the front. These gift cards can be purchased through the IHM SCRIP program. Gift cards and cash can be dropped off at the IHM Angel tree in the back of church between November 20th and December 5th, or at the IHM School Office. All gift cards will be distributed at the Middlecamp Center for Vincentian Charity on Dec 11th. Any IHM family that received help from St Vincent de Paul in the last year will be invited to this event. Thank you for helping needy families this Christmas season!
