To our
T4K families, please look for an important email from the MG School District on Friday regarding the plans for the 2nd Trimester.
A reminder that this Thursday AND Friday, October 29th and 30th will be No Uniform Days for grades K-8. Students can wear Halloween shirts, colors, or their favorite color on Friday. If your child attends Holy Mass on Fridays (2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade) they should wear their uniform in the morning and change their shirt after Mass. No Halloween costumes at school, please.
There are lots of great events planned on Monday, November 2nd for All Saints Day for grades ECE and K-8! That day will be a no-uniform day for students dressed as Saints! If students are not dressed as a Saint, they should be dressed in a uniform. Each class will also have a separate, socially-distanced cake walk, guessing jars, and Virtual All-School Bingo!
Veteran’s Day is Wednesday, November 11th, and the IHM 5th Grade will be recording a Virtual Veteran’s Day Prayer Service to share that day. We would like to extend a special invitation to the members of our community who are Veterans or current members of the service to view the service as soon as it is available!
A reminder that students can wear shorts/skirts without tights or leggings until the end of this week, if the weather is appropriate. Starting next week, long pants and tights/leggings under skirts are required until April 1st. Thank you for sending your child dressed to keep warm while they are outside!
This year we will hold virtual fall parent/teacher conferences for grades ECE and K-8 (4K has already completed their conferences). The conferences will be over Zoom, and are scheduled for Tuesday, November 24th from 1:00-8:00 PM. Zoom links will be sent to parents, along with instructions, a few days before that date. Please use the links below to sign up for your child’s conferences. Each student should have ONE conference time for all parents. If that won’t work for your family, or you can’t make the scheduled day, please contact the teacher to arrange for a different time. There is more information in the letter linked below. Sign up for a conference time by Friday, November 13th. We encourage you to sign up for a time yourself by that date. If you don’t, we will have to assign you a time, and we don’t know your schedule!
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
