 From the Office

Dear Parents,

I am out of the office this week, as a member of a visiting team for another schools WRISA (Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation) Accreditation process. IHM is in the site-visit year of the 7-year WRISA accreditation cycle. The teachers and I have been meeting and will continue through this year, assessing our school and ourselves, for a visiting team to evaluate when they visit in February. After the self-study and site visit, IHM will be given recommendations for goals and we will write our long-range plan for the next 7 years that are based on the visiting team’s recommendations. Pray for us as we take on this extra work and self-examination this year.

October is going so fast, and that means that Halloween and All-Saints Day are coming up in a few weeks. Friday, October 29th will be a No Uniform Day. Students can wear halloween shirts, colors, or their favorite color. No Halloween costumes at school, please. Classrooms will be doing other fun activities through the day. We will also be encouraging students to dress up as Saints on Monday, November 1st, All Saints Day. There are some easy Saint costume ideas are linked below.

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world. On behalf of Fr. Chad, the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!

God Bless,
Callie Meiller, Principal

Disciple Maker Index Survey – We Need to Hear From You!

All Catholic parishes in the Diocese of Madison will be participating in a parish survey about discipleship conducted by the Catholic Leadership Institute.

Please help IHM by participating in a 10-15 minute survey online. The Disciple Maker Index survey can be accessed through the online link until November 22 and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide feedback on our parish’s efforts to help you grow. All responses will be confidential and our parish will only receive information about the community as whole. Please make sure to use the link below to access IHM’s survey.

We are trying to get the highest response rate possible. This information will be invaluable to IHM, Father Chad and various parish ministries to plan for the future. Results of the survey will be available this winter at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire community.
Thank you for helping with this important project!

Did You Know?

At school, cough drops are considered medicine by law. If your child needs cough drops at school (after taking all COVID-related precautions, of course), they need to be kept in the school office. Please send them in their original bag labeled with their name, and a short note that gives your permission.
