Eagle Express 10/16/19

From the Principal

Dear Parents,

I would like to welcome our newest staff member, Ms. Bailey Wilson! Ms. Wilson will be joining us as an Aide in the 4K-PM classroom, and for the Afterschool program. We are excited to have her as part of the IHM family!

The IHM Prairie Fire Theater production of “Peter Pan” is coming up soon! I encourage all 2nd-8th grade students to be involved in Prairie Fire Theater, it is a great, FREE opportunity to be in a play! It’s worth is to miss a week of sports or other commitments to have fun, bond, and perform with their school mates! See more information in the Eagle Express green folder.

October is going so fast, and that means that Halloween and All-Saints Day are coming up in a few weeks!  Classrooms may be having Halloween parties, please look for updates from teachers. No costumes, please.

Our first fabulous Friday Fish Fry is this  Friday, October 18th! Schedules for the volunteers is in hard copy in this week’s Eagle Express. If you aren’t volunteering, come to eat the best fish fry in town with your friends and neighbors!

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.

Did You Know?

The Art Fair Committee is seeking volunteers who are artisans and who make multi-cultural art.  We are asking the volunteers to display their art (if they have some), or demonstrate an art technique within the multi-cultural area or lead students in producing a multi-cultural art piece on the night of the Art Fair, Thursday, April 23.  If you are not an artist/crafts-person, do you know someone who is?

Please contact Sister Sue at skeim@ihm-school.org
Thank you very much!
