From the Office
Dear Parents,
Last Friday’s Holy Mass for the Consecration of Schools with Bishop Hying was such a beautiful experience. IHM was proud to host this very large gathering of all of the Catholic Schools in the Diocese. Thanks so much to the 800+ people who came to the Holy Mass and Procession, and especially to all of those who helped make it happen! If you are interested in seeing photos from the event, please check out our Facebook page.
Prairie Fire Theater is coming soon! I highly encourage you to have your 3rd-8th grade student participate in this fabulous opportunity, even if they have to put other activities aside for the week. See the HSA section and the linked flyer below for more information. Thanks to the HSA for their sponsorship of this fun week!
Homework Club WILL BE available on Fridays from 3:05-5:00 PM for grades 4-8, starting this week (Mon-Thur is still available). The classroom may change each week, and we will communicate that to students! Parents picking up can come in the back door of the school.
The days are beautiful, but getting cooler. Students will be outside as much as possible, so please make sure to send your child with appropriate outdoor wear for the weather for the full day, every day. Remember to label all outdoor clothing with your child’s name. If you need help getting outdoor gear for your family, please let us know – we have resources! Students can wear shorts/skirts without tights or leggings until Nov. 1st, if the weather is appropriate. After that long pants and tights/leggings under skirts are required until April 1st.
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world. On behalf of Fr. Chad, the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!
Peace & Blessings,
Callie Meiller, Principal
