From the Office
Dear Parents,
The days are beautiful, but getting cooler. Students will be outside as much as possible, so please make sure to send your child with appropriate outdoor wear for the weather for the full day, every day. Remember to label all outdoor clothing with your child’s name. If you need help getting outdoor gear for your family, please let us know – we have resources! Students can wear shorts and skirts without tights or leggings until Nov. 1st, if the weather is appropriate. After that long pants and tights/leggings under skirts are required until April 1st.
This week is the middle of the Trimester! Grades for Middle School students are all updated, remember to check FACTs for their mid-term grades this week!
Next week Wednesday, October 18th at 8:30 AM, we will be conducting an Evacuation Drill (required by state law), where the classes walk to a designated meeting place off campus. ECE-2nd grade to MG District Office (Nichols Bldg.), Grades 3-5 to Winnequah School, and Grades 6-8 to MG High School. Please rest assured that we will be mindful when communicating to students about the drill that there are many reasons that students may need to leave the building safely – such as a gas leak, water main break, etc. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Faith Formation tonight is Catechesis Night at IHM in Marian Hall at 6pm. Our speaker will be Marc Laudonio. His topic will be ‘What’s the big deal with going to church?! A discussion on the what, who, and why of the Liturgy.” All are invited!
Catholic schools provide a firm foundation for your child’s growth and development. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let’s be a community of service to each other and to our world. On behalf of Father Chad, Father Bill, Father Mark, and the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!
Peace & Blessings,
Callie Meiller, Principal
