From the Principal
Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity, half way through the semester, to remind parents of Middle School students to check their children’s grades in Teacher Ease. Sign in with your account at Teacher Ease (use the email where you get your Eagle Express), or contact Mrs. Meiller for help!
The 2nd Annual Trivia Night will be held on Friday, November 16th. Register your team of 8, or individually for the Trivia competition, with great prizes for the winners. In addition to Trivia, side-bets, food and fun, there will also be a Silent Auction. Look for the flyer in the Eagle Express this week! If you have anything to donate to the Silent Auction, please contact auction coordinator Mary Kirschbaum at kirschbaumm@yahoo.com.
Save the date for the Christmas Concert – Thursday, December 20th! Just like last year, we are splitting up the grades, and holding it in the IHM Gymnasium. To preserve the sacredness of our beautiful church, we are moving the whole shebang to the gym. In order to make room for all, Grades K-3 will perform at 5:30, and grades 4-8 will perform at 6:30. This will also give time for each grade to show off their talents, and a smaller venue means you get a better seat, and to hear the music more clearly. Of course, more information will follow as we get closer to the date!
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world. On behalf of Fr. Chad, the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!
Callie Meiller, Principal

Parents of Kindergarten through 8th Grade Students:
On your October Smart Tuition invoice you will see a charge for $60 called “HSA Fee.” This is half of the HSA fee charged annually to families. The other half will be charged on the February 2019 Smart Tuition. This $120 per family goes to the IHM Home and School Association. In turn, the IHM HSA uses this money, in addition to the money the HSA earns from a portion of the SCRIP sales as well as the food fundraisers, to pay for the activities the HSA sponsors throughout the year as well as the Parish Assessment and DSL.
If you have specific questions about the HSA budget, please attend a monthly HSA meeting. They are held every first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the school library.
The next meeting is Tuesday November 13 at 7:00 PM.
Thank you,
HSA Board of Directors
