From the Office
Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! I hope that your holidays were relaxing and fun. We are looking forward to a new year and all the possibilities that it will bring. This week was the feast of the Epiphany, or the Feast of the Three Kings. The story explains how the Magi searched for Jesus and made this search their top priority. Jesus calls us to always search for Him. May we find Jesus in all those we know and meet and the experiences that we will have this year.
Mrs. Veencamp, our Middle School Social Studies/Math teacher, and her husband John welcomed baby boy Micah Joseph yesterday, January 5th. Baby and family are doing great! Congratulations to the Veencamps and welcome baby Micah to the IHM family! We would also like to welcome Mrs. Veencamp’s long-term substitutes, Mr. Grady Gibson (Social Studies) and Mr. Tim Brumm (Math). There are also three new students that started at IHM in January: Cooper Carlin and Alex Lakner in Kindergarten, and Mayson Baumgartner in 4th grade. Welcome to the new students and their families, as well!
Application (for new students, including siblings) and Re-Enrollment (for current students) will begin within the next few weeks. Because of the crazy year and our new processes, we need a few weeks to get it all ready. Please spread the news to anyone you know who may be interested in IHM School. Parents are our best advertising! Don’t forget to have new families mention that you referred them and collect your $250 referral credit (credited on November tuition)!
If you have a child that will be in the Early Childhood, 4K, Kindergarten or Middle School next year, you may be interested in our Virtual Open House on Sunday, Jan. 31st! Look for a flyer and more information in the Eagle Express next week. It is a great way to learn about the programs, and to get your questions answered. Please share that date if you know of a family that is thinking of IHM for one of those classes.
Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.
God Bless,
Callie Meiller, Principal
