From the Office

Dear Parents,

Thanks to all who attended our 11th Annual Benefit Dinner & Dance last Friday night! I hope you all had as much fun as I did, and maybe came away with something from the Auction. We will let you know how much the event raised for IHM Parish & School as soon as the final numbers are in!

Mrs. Walters asked that I remind our parents of our school policy of NO microwaved meals for lunch. Thanks for helping us with this, and sending only lunches that can be eaten cold, or in your own thermos-container. Our hot lunch is always available for a reasonable price for all students, as well. Please make sure to discuss this with your student who may be packing their own lunches.

Please note that a REVISED schedule of Catholic School Week and all the week’s special activities is linked below – make sure to look at it carefully, there are special things happening every day. Please note that the Talent Show is at 6 PM on Thursday, Feb. 2nd.  We need parent volunteers! Please sign up here if you are able to help us for Catholic Schools week: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080B4FA4A72CA31-catholic.

Because it is the season, we want to let you know what to expect if school needs to close for bad weather. Usually we follow the decision of the Monona Grove School District as to closings. The factors they consider to determine if schools will be CLOSED:
Snow:

Large amounts of accumulation
Drifting and blowing
Unsafe road conditions throughout the district
Cold:

If a Wind Child WARNING is issued by the National Weather Service, schools will most likely be closed.
If a Wind Chill WATCH is issued, schools will be open.

A decision to delay or close schools will be made by 6:00 a.m. on school days. Parents who feel the weather conditions pose an undue risk for their child are encouraged to use their own judgment in making a decision whether or not to send your child to school.

Join us for Faith Formation night, for Prayer and Adoration, tonight in Marian Hall at 6pm. Our speaker will be Deacon Jeff Bond.

Catholic Schools provide a firm foundation for the growth and development of your child. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let us be a community of service to one another and to our world.

Peace & Blessings,

Callie Meiller, Principal
